![]() The pentode cathodes are grounded and the grids are connected to a 0~-10.5 volt supply via the wiper of the MVC. No global feedback, and an interesting (to say the least) master volume control. The amp is pretty straightforward, with the pentode of the 6CL8 driving the triode as a cathodyne phase splitter. It also appears that the tuners were offered as options. It uses 6CM6s, which are 9 pin versions of the 6V6, rather than 6BQ5s, which isn't surprising they probably got a good deal on CM6s and went with them on the run that Sams used.Īs Tom said, there is no phono preamp in this chassis. I did find an RP90A, Sams' 490-11, which looks pretty close to what you describe. Took a trip through the archives and couldn't find anything for a PR90A. ![]()
